Upward Cheerleading Camp

Four of our girls participated in cheerleading camp last week. We are so proud of them. They showed good sportsmanship, respect and good participation during camp. I wanted to share a few pictures in this collage.
The Upward program strives to not only teach fundamentals of the sport but also to instill in the children good values and morals they can use in all areas of their lives.

Gup Belt Test

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

We want to wish everyone congratulations who tested on June 4th. This was the first test in our new studio. We were so honored to have four guest black belts in attendance. 

We want to say a special thank you to Mr. Duke Tirschel, Mr. Rick Burnette, Mr. Steve Guettler, and Mr. Steve Reynolds for coming down to sit on the testing board. 

Four of our Juniors tested for their next rank. They all did a very good job. 

Thank you to Matthew for helping out with the test.

The juniors are demonstrating their horse stance preparing to do 12 basic movements.

 

 

The Little Dragons were next. Five of our Little Dragons tested on Saturday morning. Thank you to Myles for helping with his classmates testing.

 

The black belts were able to work with the Little Dragons to demonstrate safely their techniques and understanding of self-defense.

Three of our Little Dragons were testing for their Little Dragon blue belts. We are so proud of these three. It is a big accomplishment for the children and their parents to reach such a goal. We look forward to adding these three to our Junior class when they turn 7 yrs old.

 We want to congratulate all of the Little Dragons on earning their next belt rank. Great job !!

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the men who tested from the adult class. I had to leave to pick up a child. If anyone has pictures they can share please pass them along to me.

We still want to congratulate Mr. Martin and Mr. Bonner on earning their next belt rank. Mr. Camp was a great help and did very well participating in the adult test.

Thank you to everyone parents, students and instructors who took part and/or provided support for our test on Saturday. It was great 1st test in our new facility.

Next Gup Belt Test will be in July!!
