Belt Test January 28, 2012
In this picture the students are doing forms at their own pace, so it is a busy picture. I couldn't help but focus on how high Willis has his knee preparing to do a kick. Great chamber position!
The intermediate belts have just finished their form and are waiting for Mr. May to return them to Joon Bi stance.
.
Brian is executing his form on his own.
This is a great look at our Juniors as they listen and prepare to execute techniques.
12 Basic Movements in a horse stance.
The pictures below are from the self-defense portion of the testing.
These two boys are demonstrating the basic one step defense moves.
As we finish the test we always bow to our parents. We want to show them respect for their devotion and support. Our group of parents are the very best. We are so thankful for the families that are now part of our Martial Arts family.
Congratulations to all Juniors for passing their belt test. We are so proud of all of you!
Our Little Dragons also tested. Check out these cuties!
Great Job Little Dragons! Look out Juniors these guys will be in your class soon!
Three of our adults also tested. Great Job Ladies and Gentlemen!
We are so proud of all of the students!

Special Guest Tuesday Night
Thank you so much to Lieutenant Robinson from the Fire Department. He did a great job presenting safety information to our children. As a part of our curriculum we incorporate life/safety skills. We feel it is very important to make sure the kids are aware of safety information that could save their lives or their families lives.
I would also like to thank Leslie, Luke's mom, for helping to organize this class.
Thank you once again to parents and students for having such good attendance and respectful behavior for our guests on Tuesday night.
For the students who still need patches I will have them to you soon.
I will post pictures as soon as I have them downloaded.
Regular classes on Friday and Saturday.

Celebration of Caleb's Life
Today the May Martial Arts family is mourning the loss of one of our students and friends. Caleb Kinnersley has lost his battle with cancer. He has gone home to be with the Lord. He will be greatly missed! We are continuing to pray for his family as they mourn the loss of their son.
Please join us in praying for this family!
Here are some pictures from the time Caleb was with us. I wanted to share so we can all remember his wonderful, loving spirit!
We love you Caleb! We will miss you very much. We will see you again one day when we all meet Jesus face to face.

Christmas Parade 2011
WOW! It was GREAT!
The Christmas parade was a great success!
We had wonderful weather, wonderful help, wonderful kids and wonderful Christmas Spirit!
I want to first of all thank everyone who made our entry in the Christmas parade possible.
- All families who brought their children to participate.
- Leslie Thorp-Purdy for helping me with the decorating of the trailer.
- The Ray family for donating the Christmas tree, small chairs and Christmas lights to be used on the float.
- Dr. Walt Stewart, Caleb Kinnersley's grandfather, for use of his trailer for the 2nd year.
- David Bonner for providing the large cardboard tubes for the frames to hold the lights.
- ETI and Ricky Ray for Providing the generator to power our lights.
- All of the students for bringing cardboard tubes for the paint brushes, painting the sign for the trailer and making ornaments to decorate the float.
- Last, but not least, Mr. May for working so hard to make everything safe and enjoyable.
Merry Christmas!!
This comes from our saying we teach the Little Dragons:
" To get stronger and better in our quest to be our best!"
WILL
FAMILY
COUSINS
FRIENDS
"THE BOYS"
"SUCH SWEET GIRLS!"
The float was all lit up and ready to go!
It looked fabulous once we had it all together.
We even got a tree on top of the Xterra this year! I have to admit this was Mr. May's idea. I didn't think it would work but , of course, he made it work just as he always does. Yeah!
Can we top this next year?! I don't know, let's wait and see.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
