Just a thought...

by Ann Voskamp
“When God moves us out of our comfort zone —- this is a gift.”
The greatest gift we can ever receive is the gift of losing our earthly security and comfort? So that we can unwrap the intimacy of the Savior and His Heavenly Comfort.
This is a powerful website I wanted to share with all of you who check our blog.

What gift are you thankful for? Many times we don't see the gifts when they are not wrapped in pretty paper with a big bow on top. They may not seem to help us... at the time. But in God's perfect plan everything he gives us whether it hurts, helps, or makes us grow is a   GIFT!

I consider each and everyone of you a gift.
The crazy schedule we keep to continue teaching is a gift.
The people we have met through our students are gifts.
The opportunities the future holds for our family will be a gift from God.

Have a wonderfully blessed week!

Gup Belt Test Results

CONGRATULATIONS!!

We are so proud of all of the students who tested
for their next belt rank. They did a fabulous job!

The Juniors started off with reviewing their philosophy & life skills. They were very nervous but did well remembering the parts necessary. We are very proud of the time and energy has taken these children to reach this point.

Look at the front row of four of our girls. Aren't they just the toughest but sweetest girls you have ever seen! I hate we couldn't see all four faces. They were all strong and on point.

They were each rewarded with their next belt rank.
From left to right: ToriElizabeth, Brandon, Ben, Willis, Maegan, Sydney, and Holly

The Little Dragons are all so cute! We are not always together in step but they have a contagious energy we all enjoy working with.

The Little Dragons all advanced to their next belt rank.
From Left to Right: Juleigh, Spencer, Eli, Daniel, Boots, Addison

They wear a colored belt with a white stripe because even though they did earn each color it is still a beginning level belt and as they progress to joining the juniors they will test for a solid color belt. We want our Little Dragons to feel unique through their uniforms, different diplomas, & white striped belts. They are very special students.

Once again thank you to all students for putting forth your best effort to earn your belt. Thank you to parents for being diligent in bringing your child to class as often as possible. We can see you are truly devoted to your children. We thank you for the opportunity to be an influence in their lives.

Gup Belt testing

***UPCOMING EVENT***

This weekend we will be having a Gup belt test. Everyone is invited to attend this event.
The schedule will be as follows:
Juniors testing at 9:00am
Little Dragon testing at 10:00am
Please bring a chair as space and chairs will be first come first serve.
Good luck to all students testing this weekend!

Little Dragons

We had great classes this weekend! I got some great group shots of our Little Dragons class. The class is growing so much and they are so cute! I love their uniforms! They are so special.

In our classes we focus on different skills and routines to develop the children's abilities. We begin every class by warming up their muscles and then stretching. It is amazing how many small children are NOT flexible even at such a young age. We want them to learn safe practices for their growing bodies.

The children are coming to attention to bow and begin class. This is one way we encourage showing respect to those in an authority position.
Through class discussion Mr. May and I can focus the
children on safety and life skills we want to emphasize in each class.

The children are practicing techniques to begin their learning of Martial Arts. In teaching our youngest students we focus on listening skills, self-control and developmentally appropriate skills such as balance and coordination.

The boys and girls do a great job each and every class. We encourage anyone with a child between the ages of 4-6 yrs old to bring them by and try out a class. We encourage ALL of our students to be the best they can be in everything they do.

Why are we here?
To get stronger and better in our quest to be our best!
