Gup Belt Test Results

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Our test this past Saturday was a great success. All of the students did very well. We are so proud of the effort they all put forth.  Thank you to all of the parents for your support and diligence in making sure your students are in class and practicing at home.

Special thanks to Mr. Steve Guettler for joining Mr.May on the testing board. He is a fellow instructor and owner of a school within our federation of schools.

Beginning with the Juniors:

They were ready to demonstrate techniques and combinations for each belt level.

The students are demonstrating the high block of 12 Basic Movements in a horse stance.

Matthew demonstrates attacking techniques using hands and feet.

Congratulations to all those that advanced in belt rank:

Then came the Little Dragon Class:
They are so precious! :)

I think this is the most still I have ever seen them. They were nervous but they definitely relaxed after the "butterflies" went away.

Using targets and blockers Mr. May was able to see the children demonstrate blocks and punches they needed to know to advance to the next belt.

The Little Dragon students also did running jumps to demonstrate kicks and movement.
Daniel is always on the move. I couldn't catch a shot without a blur of motion!

Self defense is an important part of the curriculum we teach to the Little Dragon class. We teach them with situations that could really happen to them so they will know how to react to protect themselves not attack.

With their smaller size it is important for the children to know what to do if grabbed and even picked up and put in a dangerous situations. Using Mr. May protects other students from injury and allows them to experience how it feels for someone much larger to grab them. Now they can really demonstrate what to do.

Congratulations to all Little Dragon students
who advanced to their next belt rank:
